Still longing for thigh high boots
TORY BURCH ELENA BOOTS
Over a year later, and I’m still longing for thigh high boots! Well, glad to announce that I found the perfect pair - Tory Burch Elena boots $550. But like any good love story, our love was forbidden: she was too expensive ($550 really?); I just couldn’t justify paying full price; and of course she was sold out everywhere. I regretted this non-purchase, especially since I’ve pretty much worn my Jil Sander riding boots into the ground. But one day, I randomly searched for my lost love on ebay, and she popped up - brand new and discounted! There’s 1 bid, and about 2 days left. If I don’t get it, then I’ll know that it wasn’t meant to be. Wish me luck!!!
Seriously contemplating thigh high boots
I know it’s so on trend, but I think they’ll add a lot of character to my (now boring) shoe collection. Besides, I so desperately need boots, why not a whole lotta boot?!

The Flat Life
I sprained my ankle pretty badly in early July, and I’m not allowed to wear heels for a while. I’ve been told that my ankle will never feel the same again - is life as I know it really over?! I’m dramatic, I know, but the world has been very different in flats. I haven’t felt 100%.
I’ll have to make some major adjustments in the footwear department - more flats, more wedges, and only (sensibile) heels with a platform. I’m also working on strengthening my legs as much as I can, I need as much support as possible.
I’ve been wearing these Cole Haan Dana Ballet Flats for the past two weeks. They’re pretty comfortable, moderately priced ($148), and come in several colors.

Proenza Schouler T-Strap Sandals
I know it’s the wrong season, but I’d like these Proenza Schouler T-Strap Cutout Wedges in both black and “stella”. They are practical, comfortable, and I like how they look on my feet. Perfect summer wedges with cutoff denim shorts, and the neutral palette that I am beginning to adopt. 
HE-LLO STUD! Part dominatrix, part rock and roll, 100% studded. I know I talk about how much I love this shoe and that shoe, but these Givenchy studded heels are my all time favorite (and I’ve been here for 20+ years). I have a picture of them on my inspiration board, so I can admire them and drool everyday (no lie). It’s such a power shoe.
